“When our dentist informed me that my daughter‚ Lindsay‚ would need braces and potentially surgery to align her underbite‚ I was very concerned and anxious. I went to three orthodontists for consultations. After meeting all three‚ it was a very easy decision to go with Dr. Barkate. Of the three‚ only Dr. Barkate was able to give me a clear treatment strategy on how he was planning to align Lindsay’s bite and thus avoid jaw surgery. In addition‚ in his consultation‚ he was the only orthodontist whose office took x-rays of Lindsay’s jam and reviewed his findings with me. “How much do I love Dr. Barkate and his entire office? So much that I drive from Venice (Los Angeles) to Newport Beach to obtain my treatment!! Given that my wedding was 5 months away‚ I hoped that I could do something to make my smile the best it could be. When I made the decision to move forward with treatment‚ the next question was “with who?” My mom‚ who works in a dental office‚ told me that Dr. Barkate was “wonderful”. Who doesn’t trust mom? She’s the reason I was doing all of this! Having had braces for 8 YEARS as a child‚ I was nervous about entering the orthodontic world again – had I known just how wonderful Dr. Barkate and his staff are‚ I would have come in years earlier!! My entire treatment plan – from financial explanations‚ to impressions for my Invisalign‚ to appointments - was‚ in a word‚ perfect. The smiling faces in the front office‚ the smiling faces in the back and Dr. Barkate’s professionalism and manner made this entire process so easy! I looked forward to my appointments and catching up with everyone. They offered flexibility in appointment times and locations and always ran on time – no waiting. I am so happy with how my smile looks now (and in perfect time for my wedding!) and no longer fear side profile photographs. I would not hesitate to recommend this office to anyone – adult or child. In fact‚ should my own (future!) children need orthodontic care‚ I know exactly where I will be bringing them – even if I still live in Los Angeles!!”
